Privacy Policy
Effective 12 October 2026 · applies to this website, the dashboard and the phone app
This service lets an organization — a funeral home, a wedding party, a church, a school — record and live-stream an event with phones, and gives the organization the recordings afterwards. This page explains what the service handles and what happens to it.
What the service records and sends
- Video and audio of the event, recorded by whoever holds a phone that the organization activated. Recording starts only when they tap Record or Stream, and stops when they stop it.
- Event details entered by the organization: a name, a date and time, an optional subtitle, location, notes and photograph.
- Account details: the organization's name, the email address and password (stored hashed) of the people who sign in, and the time zone.
- Device details needed to run the service: the name given to a phone, its type and operating system, the app version and its internet address at the time of each upload.
- Payment details are handled by Stripe. The service keeps the amount, date and a Stripe reference, never a card number.
- Technical events such as "recording started" or "upload finished", so support can help when something goes wrong.
The phone app does not read contacts, photos (unless you choose one for an event), location, or anything else on the device. There is no advertising and no advertising or analytics tracker.
Where it goes and how long it stays
- Recordings are uploaded to storage on Amazon Web Services in the United States and are removed automatically after the account's keep period (30 days for monthly accounts, 90 days for single events, unless changed for the account). Download anything you want to keep before then.
- Live streams go to the event's watch page. Anyone with the watch link can view; the organization can turn the link off.
- The copy kept on a phone is removed by the app a few days after the upload has been verified, or when the user removes it.
- Event and account details stay in the account until the organization deletes them or asks us to.
Who can see it
Recordings and event details are visible to the organization that made them and to the people who support that organization. We do not sell any of this information and do not share it with anyone else, except the providers that store and deliver it on our behalf (Amazon Web Services for storage and streaming, Stripe for payments, our email provider for account emails), who may not use it for their own purposes.
Permissions the phone app asks for
- Camera and microphone — to record and stream.
- Notifications (Android) — to show that an upload is continuing in the background.
- Photos — only if you choose a photograph for an event.
Children
The service is for organizations and adults who run events. It is not directed at children.
Removing a phone, an event or your account
A phone can be removed in the app ("This phone" → "Remove this phone") or from the dashboard. Events and their recordings can be deleted from the dashboard at any time. To delete a whole account, write to the support address shown on the website.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
